[ missing letters ]

Considering the amount of the book that is completely fabricated and has no factual basis I find it hilarious that sections that are completely decipherable are left out in place of brackets. [ ] He says that he is retelling a story that was partially destroyed by ashes (which I assume are from a candle because he doesn't smoke?) and wants to preserve the actual text by leaving out the parts that were destroyed by the burn marks. The weird part is that some sections are completely obvious and are only one letter in the middle of a word. But other sections are missing a lot of letters and words and it become really frustrating to try to read.
