Apropos of nothing, I needed to plug this fantastic book my daughter and I just read. Usually with children's nonfiction books (I'm talking those aimed at the 4-6 set) I don't take away much - it's all about her. But after reading this book I actually feel much more intelligent not only regarding alligators, but about a range of environmental issues.
So, if you know a young kid, read/buy them this book:
Who Lives in an Alligator Hole?
We also read a pretty cool book about crocodiles and started a Scooby Doo chapter book tonight, but the Alligator book rules.
